I began shooting photography in 1983 and I created this site to see how I can serve more people by creating beautiful images. I use my training as a professional coach to connect with your spirit while I shoot you and "light you up." I am constantly amazed at the power of photography to transform somebody and how they see themselves.
That is the blessing for me with photography.

The Name: Pics In The Mix
I have been passionate about music all my life and DJing since 1984. One day after a photoshoot, the name just came to me and I knew it was the right choice so I went with it. "Who feel it know it," right?

The Man: R.J. Johnson
R.J. aka DJ-RJ is a full time wedding and radio disc jockey based in Austin and the owner of Music4Life DJ's. I also do coaching to assist people in exploring their heart and their passions to see how they might make a living at doing what really excites them. So many of us buy into what our culture has taught us that we can't do what we really want to. If I can support you, please contact me and let me know.
